The August issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Flowers magazine announced on Thursday that manga creator Chiho Saito will launch her new series Torikae Baya in the next issue. The next issue will go on sale on July 28.
The taglines for the new manga read:

Chiho Saito is best known for creating the Revolutionary Girl Utena manga that inspired a popular television anime series and film.
The official website for the Driland television anime series opened with a preview of the first episode on Thursday. Yōko Hikasa narrates the ad as the character Haruka.
The Friday schedule for San Diego Comic Con notes that the North American graphic novel publisher Archaia will be publishing a new Cyborg 009 graphic novel. According to the listing, the new novel "reimagines" Shotaro Ishinomori's classic science fiction manga Cyborg 009 (pictured at right) "from a modern, Western aesthetic."
Trevor Hairsine will draw the artwork for the graphic novel, and F. J. DeSanto (Immortals: Gods and Heroes) and Brad Cramp (Invertigo) will be writing the story.
2012 is the 20th anniversary of the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon franchise. Both the manga and anime started in 1992 in Japan. In commemoration of the anniversary year, Nicofarre, a nightclub owned by Nico Nico Douga at Roppogi in Tokyo, will hold a special talk event with the VAs of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen/Mamoru Chiba on July 6.
This year's 31st issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is revealing on Wednesday that the new Hayate the Combat Butler anime will begin airing this fall. The issue shows new artwork from the anime studio Manglobe.
The final episode of the Bodacious Space Pirates (Mōretsu Pirates) television anime series ended on Saturday with an announcement of a theatrical film project. The official Twitter account and website for the anime also made the announcement.
