Wouldn't Victoria Hand Work Better On The Thunderbolts?

Postby draco x » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:00 pm

Am I one of the few people that believe that Victoria Hand would have worked better on the Thunderbolts book as opposed to the Avengers books where she hasn't done much after Dark Reign & Siege? To me she would work better than Luke Cage as the team leader as she is used to dealing with super-powered criminals like the Dark Avengers when she was Osborn's second-in-command. The way I see it, they could easily put her in the current Dark Avengers book due to her experience working with the original incarnation of the team. Although Victoria Hand can be a snarky bitch for the most part, she was kind of interesting as the lesbian version of Sarah Palin and Baroness to a lesser extent. I just really wish they would do more with her as a character and I think the Thunderbolts( Now Dark Avengers) would be a good way to give more insight to her.

Exactly. I would love to see how her and Luke Cage would interact together or what she would think of the new Dark Avengers-I could definately see her and June Covington having tension between them.

I don’t think so. Aren’t they doing that to reform villains? They just know her from when she was with Osborne, probably think she’s a bad influence.

Power Man’s a better role model.

Tbolts had a decent writer who probably didn't want to use one of Bendis' boring garbage "creations."

It makes sense to have a former villain who became a hero lead the thunderbolts, not to have what amounts to a glorified secretary leading a team of supervillains..

Bendis is like Winnick in the sense that he should stick to his own characters and stop messing with other people's own.

Fair enough but they need to do something with Hand rather than leaving her in the background. Plus, how come she was never seen in AVX recently? Seeing as how she is Steve's go-to-girl, how come she wasn't seen helping the Avengers against the X-Men?

Fair enough. If anything, they could have had her work under Cage like she did under Norman and Steve. Like I said, I would love to see what she thinks of the new Dark Avengers myself.

since when was she steve's go-to-girl?? she was seen right before AvX started in New Avengers the team Rogers assigned her to. She's never been his "go-to-girl," he barely trusts her. Steve's "go-to-girls" are Sharon and Maria.

Ok, I stand corrected. Nonetheless, they still need to do something with her now as Bendis seems to be the only writer that cares enough to do anything with her.

That's cause he created her, I'm sure some one will use her eventually.

I would love to see Jeff Parker use her in Dark Avengers myself.
