John Layman to Write Detective Comics, Book Instantly Becomes 1000% Better

Suddenly, Detective Comics isn't a superfluous book!

DC Comics announced that John Layman and Jason Fabok will be taking over Detective Comics from industry pariah Tony Daniel, turning the book into something readable for the first time in over a year.  Layman, best known for his indie smash hit Chew stated that his run will focus on Gotham's criminal empires and that Batman would also have new toys to play with.  He did not mention if one of these toys would be a cyborg rooster of doom, mayhem and destruction.   This will be the first time Layman's worked on DC.

Cool. Now Detective Comics is respectable again. (Oh and by the way I'm loving these future news reports like the Amazing Spider-Man/Avengers box office thing and now this.)

John Layman was I believe an editor for Wildstorm, so he has that tangential connection to DC.

Still, this will most likely be very good.

1000% of no appeal at all is still no appeal at all. This brilliant news is ill-served by your maths.

Guess the money for Chew isn't rolling in anymore.

Also, it's actually a pretty big reflection on DC, since Uncle Paul effectively blacklisted him for supporting Millar during the Authority nonsense.....
