My Mom's In The Hospital Again

It appears to be a stroke. She woke up shouting, barely able to form words, and with a headache on one side of her head, and numbness in one hand.

Cat scans says it isn't a tumor or a large stroke, and she's recovered somewhat, though she still has trouble thinking of words and some trouble speaking. Doc thinks it's a micro stroke.

Spent the night there with her, now I'm off to try and grab some sleep.

Did the doctor mention a TIA? I learned that term yesterday.

Winner! After all the tests, that's what they said happened. The key and most wonderful term here is the first letter, which stands for "Temporary". Evidently it's a small blood clot on the brain that goes away after a bit. Still don't know what brought it on, or how to avoid it in the future, but man, was that scary.

Anyhow, she's doing much better now, perfectly normal, and I might get to take her home tomorrow! :-D

Thanks guys for the good thoughts, they certainly helped me if not her.
