Robert Kirkman brags about his TV connections while promoting Skybound's new series Clone.
IGN reported on a new series from
Walking Dead mogul Robert Kirkman called
Clone. The comic, which will be written by David Schulner with art by Juan Jose Ryp, tells the story of a man whose life is invaded by a bunch of clones of himself, which is not, as one might think, a biographic comic about Alan Moore. Kirkman had the following to say about the project:
"One of the best things about working in both television and comics is that I'm able to take the best of both formats to combine them in order to try something new and exciting, like how I took the writer's room approach from television and brought it to comics with Thief of Thieves. Now I'm also able to bring amazing writing talent like David Schulner (The Event, Do No Harm) from TV into the world of comics.
Did he mention he writes for TV now? Because he does. And he knows people from TV too. From writing for TV. Because he writes for TV. Did you know that? Just making sure.
Clone, along with Kirkman's adventures in the world of television, will be discussed at the Skybound panel at San Diego Comic Con July 14 at 3PM. Clone is due out in November.
