SDCC: Classic Villain to Appear in Iron Man 3

Spoilers for those trying to be surprised.


SPOILER ALERT.  IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED BY IRON MAN 3, CLICK AWAY NOW.


The Mandarin, Iron Man's biggest foe, was confirmed to play a large role in Iron Man 3, which is due out in theatres May 3, 2013.  Footage from the film showed the character's ten signature rings, all of which have different abilities.  The character has been hinted at since Iron Man, when the character's rings were mentioned in the name of the terrorist organization which captured Tony Stark.  The villain will be played by Oscar Award winner Ben Kingsley.

Yeah, I thought this was an already well established fact. I must say that Ben Kingsley is great casting for the role though.

From the moment they threw out the name the Ten Rings as the name of the organization behind Stark's kidnapping in the first movie, I think most of us saw that this would eventually be coming.
