How would you explain the success of The Hypernaturals (pretty much Legion of Super-Heroes in Boom!)?

Yes, sales are not what they used to be, but even keeping that in mind I'd say there is a problem with the current Legion title.

The fact that D&A have a higher profile than they did when they wrote Legion thanks to the Marvel Cosmic stuff may have as much to do with it as it does Legion itself. Would Hypernaturals have gotten as much hype as it did if some lesser-known talents were involved?

It wouldn't be The Hypernaturals without them, they're the creators.
The real question here is, would you say that Abnett and Lanning are more famous than the Legion of Super-Heroes?

But if the came concept with the same characters was being published, but with writers without D&A's track record, would it have gotten the same amount of attention? Probably not.

I'd say D&A is hotter at the moment than the Legion is right now. How famous you are has nothing to do with it. Madonna is more famous than Katy Perry, but who's hotter between the two of them right now?

Anyway, I think that if two completely unknown writers would have come up with a Legion-like title it wouldn't have been as successful as Hypernaturals.

Talking about women and who's hotter than who... that's so unfair. I can't say I like my comic books being compared to Katy Perry, but, oh well.

Say, can you or anyone else here visit my blog and leave me a comment over there? I posted a pencils-to-ink drawing I did yesterday and a couple of opinions would be welcomed.

I did mean "hotter" as in hype, buzz, popularity, etc.

I see you have a blog about football. I don't know much about sports, though.

Oh please, you're too hard on yourself.

On a completely unrelated note, did I mention I met Peter David two days ago? Can't believe he was here in Lima, Perú.
