Liverpool just paid 10mil fo9r a 30yr old in Clint Dempsey.

Still probably more value for money than Downing.

Liverpool haven't signed him yet.

And Ibrahimovic is one of my favorite footballers. Why should he be loyal to any of those clubs? He's had a great career.

I don't think Zlatan is especially disloyal, by all accounts he didn't want to leave Milan.

Currently watching the upgraded PSG vs Chelsea El Ca$hico.

Qatari oil money is currently beating Russian gas money 1-0 at the 56th minute.

PSG has some nice youth players on show here. Verrati (19) is amazing and Rabbiot is proving a solid fullback for a 17yr old.

Poor Portsmouth.

I just learned that League One has hit them with a -10 point deduction because they're going to be starting the season still in administration.

Alexis Sanchez is practicing for Barca's new season:

For extra irony, look behind the ref at the 10 second mark

Son of a bitch, did we actually sign Lucas Moura?

Telegraph is one of the few sources I actually consider to be 'credible' for what its worth.

The Chevrolet deal was pretty great for United, but not so great for the guy who brokered it, or rather, bent over for it.

Thought it was too good to be true for an industry thats been hit hardest by the economic downturn to offer 20% more money than AON

Least they'll see the deal through.

20% more? It's about double! Deal is fantastic.

Apparently the guy who was sacked was sacked for fucking up the deal. No way for a multi hundred million dollar deal go ahead without permission from the higher ups. Apparently his mistake was not to make sure that Chevrolet get their name printed on the shirt with the logo.

Ewanick reportedly agreed to pay more than 25 million pounds ($37 million) per year for seven years to have the Chevrolet badge appear on the shirts of the world’s most popular soccer team – 25 per cent more than the existing deal with Aon Corp.

6mil a year more than AON. Not bad considering "GM Europe’s losses have totalled US$16.4 billion ($15.6 billion) since 1999"

Wouldn't it have made more sense for the Opel logo to be used in Europe BTW?
