Indeed. I thought that there were some really nice acknowledgements that Barry came before, but Wally was the Flash for a younger group of readers than I. I really wouldn't have minded if they brought him back to serve in the mentor role that Jay Garrick had filled, but to shunt Wally aside to put Barry back in the spotlight? No. I don't get it.

Me, either, my friend. I walked around the logic, and I could see them wanting a new Flash because Wally had a wife and kids. I understood that.

But holy hell. I've said it before, but DC's decision-making with regard to the Flash franchise has been horrifying every since the split second somebody said, "Hey! What if we aged Bart Allen to an adult?"

Oh, yeah, I'll say it:

The next person on Earth to get a power ring absolutely should've been a woman.

I mean, FFS. Seriously.

Ha! Quick, everyone -- what's in his left pouch on the front? Come on, now -- what's in there?

I have no clue, either. Just thought it'd be cool to remind people of how ridiculous some costumes are, in a medium that screams "ridiculous." :-D

I'll say something I've never said before. While I hate Hal as he is currently written, I would be okay if they gave him some sort of human personality. But Johns hasn't learned anything from Stan Lee. Hal is only portrayed as fearless test pilot without any weaknesses? What the fuck is relatable about that?

Seriously I am asking if anybody can really show what real flaws Hal has because I haven't seen any in the entire time since Johns brought him back.

It happened during Marz's run. When Kyle was out trying to restart the Corps, he found a female Russian cosmonaut that had been in suspended animation and gave her a ring. It would have been cool if that had gone somewhere but again I blame Johns.

Fearless test pilot or cocky douchebag...just different shades of grey, I suppose.

That's the worst part...he's pretty much been an unlikable a-hole from damn near the second he got back.

It's funny to see so much dialogue there... who wrote it?

Bah. I really liked Peyer's arc after Waid. If they'd have let him stick with it I think he coulda done good things.

Yep. And he is 100 times the a-hole in JL that he is in his own book. Give Johns all the credit in te world for rejuvenating the franchise's popularity, but it sure seems to me like he's dead-set on continuing to do so...by destroying all the main parts??? Hal's unlikable, he's spent nearly a decade turning the Guardians into the new Anti-Monitor (big bad for a sure fire cosmic crossover event), fucking Sinestro is basically the lead...it makes no sense to me

Yeah. Same as the guy who preceded him the first time was so amazing on the title, yet returned and gave us...

I like that too. Barry as an mentor role would work, more given that Jay and Max are gone, but they both held that role well for Wally.
