Whoops! Maybe they should have sorted that out beforehand?
Source: Deadline Mickey Rourke is in talks to reprise his role as Marv in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's Sin City 2. The movie has been in development for years, and is due out next year, so it seems strange that Rourke is just now negotiating his appearance. The Outhouse reached out to Rodriguez for comment, but he refused to talk to us, so we made up some quotes instead:
"We really wanted to work things out ahead of time, but nobody wanted to because Rourke is so goddamn ugly," said the director in an uncharacteristically mean statement. Rourke, who left acting in the early nineties to become a professional boxer, needed reconstructive surgery that was famously botched. "When we finally mustered up the courage to talk to him, he was making unreasonable demands, such as permission to live outside his bell tower and free airfare for his girlfriend Esmerelda."
Though Marv is executed in the first Sin City, the new movie, or at least parts of it, will take place in the past. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is set for release in 2013.
