2: DX10 wtf happened to it? If your a PC gamer, DX10 was the holy grail for FPS... Shame they can't port it back to XP...
3: Activation: you know how much is it a pain to activate windows... they need to punish the pirated version with massive popups or something...
4: 64 bit OS... Come on lets break the 2GB window barrier... Everyone knows 4GB is needed to run windows and other software...
Let's see how Windows 7 is in a year and a half...
1. That does suck, but I turned it off. The risk of someone actively taking over your PC is negligible and if you have decent virus and malware protection you can prevent most processes from doing things they're not supposed to do.
2. What exactly are you saying? DX10 is there, or games like Crysis wouldn't work.
3. I never had any problems with activation on Vista Ultimate. A little window popped up and said Windows is activated.
4. Again, Ultimate is 64 bit and reads my 4 GB of RAM just fine.
Windows 7 is little more than vaporware at this point, and seeing as how every other Microsoft OS has had delays there's no reason to think this one will be out as promptly as they're predicting two years in advance. Vista was supposed to have all sorts of stuff that didn't make the final cut also, like an NTFS replacement.
