Ok, I looked everywhere. I remember the companions but that was all companion talk. Did Pascal have one cause I searched and even attempted to look at his old posts and got nothing. That said..

Which i think is a good thing. I don't think that version of the master was very good. The build up to him revealing himself was great, but after that, not so much.

Making the Master a zany guy just like a clone of Tennant's Doctor was just one of the many stupid things RTD created, those last two Master episodes were among the worst in Doctor Who history. Just fucking terrible.

I thought it was tolerable right up until the Deus Ex Machina ending which made just roll my eyes and and not want to watch anymore.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Nothing is as bad as Christmas Special of '07, Fear Her, or Evolution of the Daleks to me. I loved those three episodes of the Master to death. They where like little Easter Eggs for old Master fans and insanely better than what we had with Roberts in the tv movie. The only thing missing from those three episodes where, "I am the Master and you WILL OBEY ME!"

And sure the deus ex machina at the end was horrible. But come on.. the deus ex machina in Series 1 any better? The one thing better is that a human companion of the Doctor outsmarts the Master after all the pain he forced upon her.

RTD's writing tends to be filled with deus ex machina or someone else doing the actual work for the Doctor, which is why a lot of the new series is crap IMO, with some gems mixed in. I love the Master, his run in the 7th series with Pertwee was one of my favorite eras, but his appearance on the new show was pathetic. They didn't need him to be wacky like the Doctor, the Master is a serious individual and they didn't get the character right at all.

And you are right, the ending of Series 1 was terrible, the ending of Series 2 was good for the smack talking Dalek and the fact that Rose left the show, Season 3 was probably the worst ending of the lot , Season 4's was just mediocre. I just don't like RTD's plotting, or his dialog, for the most part.

Honestly, I hated Season 4 and the end of it save for the last scene with the Doctor and Donna's grandfather.

Same here. I mean the Master for the most part is flip side of the Doctor. I mean look at Delgado and Pertwee's Master/Doctor or the Doctors the Ainley Master fought. The only Master who different was the Master who appeared in the Deadly Asassin.
