So, I recently installed ITunes on my computer, and I've been uploading cds like crazy. Already got 3000 songs and I'm still going. I am totally obsessed with this program now, uploading songs and finding the album artwork. Also, it's got me listening to CDs I haven't listened to in years, like alot of my old punk CDs, and some other stuff.

Some great old favorites that I have "rediscovered" because of ITunes:

GWAR - Their first five albums are some of the funniest and yet rockingest metal albums ever made. Listening to them years later, I even notice things I didn't when I was a kid, like all the times they make fun of Guns N' Roses in their songs.

and, on a completely opposite note...

Snoop Doggy Dogg's first album, Doggystyle - God freaking damn did that guy have alot of talent. What the hell happened to him? One day he was rapping with a vengeance on The Chronic and Doggystyle, the next he was a tired old act who just throws around some catch phrases and lets other people do the rapping for him. It was completely sudden too - one day he was great, then he totally sucked. Maybe I just have a soft spot for the danger and over-the-topness of early nineties gangsta rap.

So check out your CD collections and listen to something you haven't heard in a while, and post about it!

I'm listening to the American Hardcore soundtrack at work this afternoon. It's ok. It keeps putting me to sleep. Well, that and the tedious repetition of "work".

I heard the song Little Wing on the radio the other day. Haven't heard it in a while. Really good song. Sometimes I forget how good Hendrix was when all I hear are the same annoying ass Hendrix songs that they always play on the radio.

Yeah, i hate that most channels just play like the same 3 songs by each band, they dont mix it up...

They even play the same songs several times in one day. I used to work at a job where they had the radio on all day long set to one station, and I would hear the same damn songs three or four times a day. It was sickening.

Just listened to Skinny Puppy's "The Process" all the way through for the first time in like 10 years. Most industrial music is painfully generic, but this album kicks ass.

Finally got me an iPod. I love it, but the case I bought for it is driving me crazy - makes a little rainbow blur on the screen when it's on. I gotta take the damn thing back to circuit city and return it.

I personally recommend Agent18 for cases. They have always been reliable for me and for the people I know who have purchased them.

Check out Agent18.com to see what they have available, it's been a while since I've seen their product line.
