Ron Lim or not, that is a great piece of art. What actually upsets me is that it's only one panel of a larger page. You suck for being so good!

I really love the tone of the piece. I can imagine the colors with a slight glow on the Surfer, and some reflections coming off him. Great, great stuff!

Thanks, Jon!

I'm anxious to see how the colorist tackles Surfer as well...

Hey Cory

That last Surfer page looks awesome. When you ink your stuff do you draw tight pencils or leave them loose and finish the page in the inking phase?

That Surfer does look QUITE good. I really like the detail on the planets, makes them feel very not-of-our-section-of-the-universe.

Yo, Erick! I usually leave the pencils fairly loose so I can finish the drawing in ink. I think my work comes out a little livelier this way.

Plus, I pretty much have to work this way when deadlines are involved.

you dont happen to have a scan of the pencils do you? to compare and see the amount of work you do in the inking stage.

Do you make copies of the pencils in case you mess up or do you just go for it and hope any mistakes are, as Bob Ross would say, "happy accidents"?

Surfer's a complete pain in the ass to draw, but he's a friggin blast to ink...weird :?

Having a Ron Lim vibe is NEVER a bad thing! I loved his run on the Surfer! Keep drawing awesome pics of the Surfer and I will buy everything you draw, even if it's a poster book of Metallica and Pantera. Any chance of you drawing Thanos anytime soon?

For those of you who don't know, Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four #25 comes out (according to Marvel's website) June 13, and features the art of CHAM! BUY IT NOW (well, on June 13), BUY EXTRA COPIES AND FORCE THEM ON RANDOM PEOPLE IN THE STREET WITH THREATS OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE!

Just because I don't know how to spell the language of some tiny African nation doesn't mean that I'm wrong in thinking that your attitude towards women is 100% wrong. Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

A couple redesigns of some old Inhuman characters...

Maximus the Mad (Blackbolt's brother)

...and Seeker from FF #46
