or just use the department's photocopier because you have access to it at night when no one's looking. :wink: :D

also check out torrents for hundreds of textbooks in the same field packaged together. there are some very nice digital copies of textbooks that were not photocopied, but rather typed in beautiful typesetting (latex). all you need to do is print out the book on your school's laser printers (a chapter or two at a time to avoid nasty looks) and then have the book bound at staples. $5 or less for a bound printed copy of that out of print $300 textbook!

You could probably sell them for a decent price too.

Thankfully, I no longer take courses. But profs in my department generally assign articles that can be found in the jstor collection. So the course reading material is free and readable online.

Damn, everyone has had some sort of slick set up or a safety net of some sort. JSTOR has been really great since it's recent revamp, but I still use PsychINFO more often.
