Do you like this as my Sig? I'm just asking because I know it's supposed to be a big deal, fairly quick.

And from the latest Willingham and Sturges interview at CBR:

Do you have your favorite JSA members already figured out?

BW: Almost imagine that “Justice Society of America” is two books written simultaneously. Because Matt and I did, almost like a softball team, choose up players for our sides. “These are my favorite characters and these are the ones I want to concentrate on or take the lead on.”

Who did you pick?

MS: I am a big fan of Stargirl. I think she’s pretty cool. I have long been a fan of Power Girl and I have wanted to write her for a long time. And I would love to say something inappropriate but this is CBR. I think those would be my main two. I am really fascinated the Magog character. We’ll have to see what happens to him.

BW: It worked out almost complementary to each other because even though I don’t dislike Power Girl, the character hadn’t really inspired me. I started right off telling Matt that I don’t really have a handle on this character yet. I didn’t have an idea of what to do with her that would make her unique and outstanding. And Matt said, “Oh, I do.”

Well, Cat, I said something like this:

achilles wrote:Maybe it was the quitting drugs that did it. As for chaos magic---hell I do that, and look at me---perfectly sane!

And you said something like this:

Absolutely true, you are most definitely the picture of sanity, Achilles!!

So what I didn't get, was do you mean I'm simply a picture of sanity, or a paragon of virtue PLUS a picture of sanity?

From the Cat Dictionary:

Antithesis--adj. Yes, all of the above. Verily, 'tis true. Absolutely.

Cats are very simple animals to read. They eat mice, lick their butts all day long, snub you until they want to get petted, and shed a lot. See? Very easy to read! Unlike say hookers. There was this one that must have misunderstood me...

You asked her to dress up like a certain something didn't you?

By the way, you can't read the cat written language. It just looks like a bunch of paw prints and scratches. :P

Update on the Power Girl Series

Postby achilles » Tue Jan 27, 2009 3:50 pm

From the 'Rama's front page Jimmy Palmiotti blog:

WORK, WORK, WORK: This week Justin and I finished up writing Powergirl #4 and we are taking a small break to allow Amanda to catch up with the art and pitching some new stuff we were asked to give our take on. Amanda is penciling and inking the book herself, just like she did on the TERRA miniseries, even though I was credited for inking a few issues which I think was a reflex move on the part of editorial. We are really excited about this book and have driven Amanda to drink with the amount of stuff we have happening in the first two issues alone. I think Amanda might bring a set of Xerox’s to Megacon if anyone wants to take a look and I think the book now will be solicited for a may release and is a monthly ongoing series.

I still bet that Didio will kack it into a mini series fast.

Now you sound like Herald! I don't think the Didio is all that interested in doing that. I think he'll leave it alone. The worrysome part was in that paragraph---the bit about Connor inking her own work. Yeah, she inks great, judging by Terra, but it's going to cut her speed down by at least half, and she's already slow. At some point, they're either going to have to bring in another inker, or start skip months, and THAT can kill a series.
