Advance Preview: Justice League #26

More hints on the Crime Syndicate's hooded prisoner

Source: Newsarama / ComicBookMovie.com

DC has released an early preview for Justice League #26. As with previous issues that  featured individual Crime Syndicate members, this issue spotlights Grid.

The DC solicit reads:

A FOREVER EVIL tie-in! Why has the Crime Syndicate really come to our Earth? What are their darkest secrets? And how will their actions fundamentally change the Justice League as we know it? Meanwhile, Grid controls the world’s power and communications, but what does he truly want from the Syndicate? Plus, a member of the League struggling to survive plots a path of return...and revenge.

I haven't looked at Reis' at in ages. He was always great, but I think he's actually improved.

That's phenomenal work.

I love Reis' work. It's always reminded me of a cross between Neal Adams and Alan Davis 8)

Agreed on Reis.

The panel with Cyborg "What did you do to me"... All the other panels are so busy but what a wise move to isolate Vic's face - the emptiness of the background meshes perfectly with his realization.

A good artist knows when less is more.

Using Grid as the narrator, Johns manages to give us all the remaining Syndicate origin stories this issue.
- If I'm reading this correctly, the Volthoom entity recharges the ring via the wearer's psychological pain and horror !
- Interesting that Johnny and Rhonnie were basically the modern-day Earth-3 Bonnie and Clyde. And they were extremely brutal at it !
- I'm guessing that the hooded prisoner is the mystery man who recruited Earth-3 Stein to determine the Syndicate's weaknesses. Could be Luthor but
[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
this almost sounds like something that Bruce Wayne would do. Maybe he survived the shooting after all
- Odd that Johns still hasn't told us who or what the "monster" is that ravaged their world. Betting this may tie into the ending of Forever Evil somehow.

Next issue: Cyborg 2.0 !
