So far, Icarus isn't knocking it out of the park for me.

Batgirl #32
Clandestine meetings, tapped phones, video surveillance – Barbara Gordon is being watched! Who has it in for her, and how can Batgirl investigate without compromising her secret identity ?

Sometimes Gail Simone's plots seem to wander and sometimes she packs so much stuff into one issue it's like a roller coaster. This issue, IMO, is the latter. She's pulled together so many threads this issue it felt like a TV show season finale
And if I'm not mistaken we may have also seen the beginnings of this idea for September (below). Not only from Barbara's frequent comments of there being only "just one Batgirl" but also by the two guest-stars this issue. And no, I'm not referring to the last page surprise guest !
Well done, Ms Simone 8)

Wow, JLU #2 came out? I didn't even notice. I guess that says something right there.

I was gonna read this one because Supergirl is supposedly in it but, (a) it sucks, and (b) she's not been in it so... I think I'm done with it.

JLU #2 was okay, nothing spectacular. More snarky banter between Animal Man and Green Arrow. Supergirl shows up. The reason for that was .. convenient. Sardath shows up, explains what exactly Ultra is, tying in some interstellar conflict involving the Thanagarians, Cazrnians, Psions and Tamarans, and then how Byth came to possess Ultra. It ends wrapping back around to the opening pages of the #0 issue when the League busts into the space station.

Ugh. Outside of bat books how do you people pay for this stuff? It looks so...devoid of anything that looks even remotely interesting.
The justice league book... Wow. Looks just awful and boring

JLU 0 and 1 were awful.... I mean really bad. Based on them I do not understand all the hype around Lemire. But then, I don't understand the hype around Morrison either.

Batgirl was pretty good. Though the constant misery of Barbara's life is starting to get old.
