Even moreso after this issue
Spoilers:
[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
The resurrected Orange Corps members have decided to make Larfleeze their slave after eons of being trapped in his ring. He refuses to obey their orders so they torture him repeatedly to convince him to comply. After his most recent punishment they toss him back into a cell where he has a hallucination of his mother who triggers repressed memories of his former life as a slave before he found the Orange Light. In previous issues Larfleeze claimed that he led a rebellion with the other slaves against their captors and freeed themselves. However we now discover that he survived in the prisoner camp by supplying information to his captors and constantly betraying his own people. As his "mother" states: "You're the most selfish, opportunistic, immoral creature that ever lived. No wonder the Light of Avarice chose you as its vessel".

Although the tone of this book is usually humorous it's kind of a sad last page panel as he huddles in the corner of his cell trying not to believe this revelation.

So basically Larfleeze has always been an asshole from the get-go then?
