Spider-man should simply never be an Avenger

I agree about Thing. But I think Spidey works as an Avenger.

Spidey always struck me as too free-spirited to be an Avenger.

Wait, so this book just focuses on the fights?

So... we have a mini that focuses on the overall story and one mini on just the fights?

Wow, wtf has happened to comics? Now it's so difficult to have the right balance of both?

Not difficult, just more money in this way.

When it comes to stuff like this, stop thinking as a collector but as a business when these decisions are being made because that's what Marvel is doing. Because they are a business.

Some of these fights are gonna start in the main series and finish in the VS series... it allows them to let the fights go longer than a panel or so..

Also, remember back in the day when superheroes used to fight bad guys instead of each other?

You'd think 12 issues would be enough to decompress the story and fights, but I guess they had do find something for all the writers to do.

I agree with that but I also think that how the character has been written he'd understand why being a member of the Avengers would make sense. He is a responsible guy.

Weak pool of villians now a day and only the top tier they do not want over used in Marvel.

I think the one thing that gives Bender's argument merit is that Spidey being an Avenger runs counter to the logic that editorial used for OMD.

It also allows for some interesting team ups between writers and artists...
