Perez does not disappoint with this issue. This picks up right where #7 ended. Seems like a bit of a "cool down" issue, which isn't a bad thing considering Kara has been chased and/or fighting someone
nearly every issue since she landed on Earth. Heck, she even says this issue "I need to rest", although her last battle with the Worldkillers was the one that drains her most. Some misunderstanding with the Military ensues as they continue to try
and arrest her.
But since she's been off-world for 90% of this run so far it could make sense that they're not really sure who she is and what her intentions are, despite the fact that it has been noted her outfit is similar to Superman's. Also doesn't help that she still doesn't speak anything except Kryptonian.
This issue also basically introduces the rebooted Silver Banshee and her evil dead dad, Black Banshee. I don't know much of the previous incarnation other than that she was a villain, but this version comes off as almost likable as she is trying to escape her family destiny/curse/whatever. Nothing earth-shattering here as far as plot but an easy and fun read, which is enough for right now.
