Do you guys post on Deviant Art? Is there any point? Or is it like the rest of the Internet? Meaning the only people who notice you are trolls.

Well, I had some illustrations kicking around and decided to post a few things there.

It's under EliKatz, if anyone's interested.

I think that should get you there.

Yeah, I post pretty much all my art there with the exception of "secret" preproduction stuff (and my dirty drawings ). I get some useful feedback and keep track of my friends' work.

I'll add you to my watch list, because I like the two pieces you posted a lot! :D

It depends on what you put in for search tags in your images. My amalgams, prozac spicific pills, flash pills, the Tinman, and the Bat Pikachu I did for Homer of Borg get a lot of attention. My paintings, not so much.

It also helps if you interact with the more popular artist in their comments. (As with the Outhouse) If you look like some one that is participating in the community, people will be more likely to check out your work. If you just go around pimping your own stuff without any other contributions, people will ignore you.

you can post the dirty drawings too. You just have to mark them as such when you upload them so they will only be visible to registered users. see my Viagra Man for an example :P

Hey, I like your work, Eli. It's like a slightly abstracted version of John Singer Sargent's sketches.

I've always been impressed by the lack of trolls there. I've seen some artwork there that was clearly some 6 year olds crayon scribbles but the feedback was still mostly encouraging. Nice change of pace from the usual hate mongering that happening on the 'net.

The only exception I ever saw was for one kid who tried to pass of a piece of traced Jim Lee art as his own. He got slammed pretty good and rightfully so.
