So Halloween is coming around the corner, then it's thanksgiving, and after that it's X-mas.

This is all the pagan shit the U.S. does...not counting for all kinds of holidays from around the world or other cultures.

Talked to Jude and he said, if there's content he'll set up a webcomics feature/section for it!

So with that said, I plan on doing a few prep comics in the vein of first: A Halloween comic, then maybe a november one...(not sure), and lastly an X-mas one.

Any other OH artists out there interested in doing some kind of stuff with a Halloween theme?

It'd be kind of cool to do some comics leading up to the actual holiday...then people would have a shmorgasmw/aborg of halloween comics to read on day 31.

They can be a strip, or one page, or several pages...black and white, or color, or old school Night of the Living Dead grey that matters.

And the podcast is thankful for your lack of participation. :lol:

Still, I have no drawing talent outside of stick figures. That was the only thing I got out of the how to draw the Marvel way. I'd love to do it but no talent.

I hope this hasn't been done before, but my idea is about a fruit bat who lives with a bunch of vampire bats.

I could commit to something at least weekly, like a traditional 3 panel.

To further specify that'd be 4 or 6 weekly updates.

I was thinking of on sundays compiling all the week's updates into one sunday slammer layout, like a week in review but done in sunday comics style what you get w/ a newspaper.

I really into making comics before though I have shifted to a rather similar medium in comics-type novels. I first got my inspiration from "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid". I really liked how simply it was put out. Though it shies away from comics a bit without the use of too much dialogue.

Though a new line for Halloween would sound great and I think that with all the available possible inspirations, it will be easy to make good ones.

I'm going to put out a schedule later today...but lets shoot for the first Saturday of october so I'd need the strip by friday...which is this weekend?
Shit that's probably not enough time is it?

So how about we shoot for oct. 7th? That way I can get it up by the 8th.

Basically the loose schedule so far is this:

Meyhem Mondays(whatever category)

Terror-Rifttrick Tuesdays (whatever category)

What the Wolf Wednesdays (were wolf themes)

Torture-R-Us Thursdays (whatever category)

Franken-Fridays, (frankenstein theme).

The Saturday Slasher (whatever category),

and

Sunday Slammer. (sunday comic strip theme).

Some of the days in October will be 5 updates, some are only 4.

Black and white or grey tones strips during the week....if you really want to color them, we can include that in the collected Sunday Slammer at the end of the week. I'll be reposting this in it's own thread, actually I'll be making a thread for each day/theme of the week so taht way I know who's signed up for what.

My suggestion to artists is that they get as many of their weeks done in one so that way they're free to play around with other days if they want or they don't have to worry about life getting in the way.

And yes, people are free to submit a serial strip if they want, something ongoing or a gag, or just a one and done funny but horror-spooky themed strip. One panel to whatever many panels. But heavy on the comics. I'll consider pinups and art poems as well, but want to focus this on comics. Save a 300 res version or you can e-mail it to me as well as a web version which I think Jude said can't be no more than 800pix wide. The 300 version if we meet our goal at the end, then we can all discuss if we want to collect this into a print version. But the primary goal is to meet these oct. deadlines and have it up on the front page.
