I really like this turn you are taking with your art. It looks like you're loosening up and allowing lines to show. I've always liked your work, but I really want to see where this new method takes you.

Yeah, Jon I don't know if I am loosinig up. My goal since NYCC is to let more of my physical drawing show. Digital inking has always been IMO a weakness that slows me down.

I LIKE that Prophet. I'd like to see his upper body a little larger, but the shading and coloring are great.

I wish you would do YOUR take, though. I always thought that costume was pretty lame.

This pic was just a test of this new inking method. One good thing is that the guy who manages my local comic shops is a colorist on so indy stuff. He has been giving me some photoshop pointers. Do you think I should keep the the lines in black of try to change them to color lines?

I like your style of coloring. Is there a word for that sort of style?

I like the lines. I don't know if you should use them all the time, but they work very well in that pic.

It's always nice to have another weapon in the arsenal.
