I saw a huge original movie poster for 2001 at an antique show last week. Only $1900.

I'll be honest I've only seen 2 Kubrick films.
Dr. Strangelove, which was good, but I dozed off at the end because I was tired.
Full Metal Jacket, which has the best bootcamp sequence ever, but I've always felt like the second half of that film was not very good.

How the heck can you sleep through Dr. Strangelove? That movie is all sorts of awesome.

The Shining - go watch it. It has Jack.
Paths of Glory - go watch it. It has Kirk.

I enjoyed what I saw though. It was pretty goofy.

It was an unqualified hit before the 1960s ended. Apparently it was popular among hippies.

Agreed on FMJ.
It was a half good movie. The second half sucked.

I completely disagree. The 2nd half of Full Metal Jacket is just as awesome, if not more awesome, than the first half. It's scary as hell, too.
