WTF is this rank?

It was a mixed bag. My second child was born, but he was six weeks premature and had to spend five weeks in the hospital before coming home. A friend and co-worker I spent the last year carpooling with died unexpectedly, which has been hard on a personal and work level. Lots of home expenses.

On the plus side, both my sons are doing well, I still have a job, and I re-discovered Doctor Who. Still, I hope this next year ends up just a little better on the whole.

ups and downs. Started a new job after being unemployed for 10 months. Love my job, love living in Illinois, love being a father. Didn't love being rear ended and having to still deal with the fall out of it.

A slightly less shitty year than 2012, which was the worst. Things are looking up.

Once again a very good year. The worst part was the fucking New Years Eve party when it went very close to going horrifically wrong.

Not terrible I guess. I had to spend a ton of money fixing some issues with my house but my wife got pregnant and my son will be born any day now.

Really that's what my whole 2013 has mostly been. Getting our lives as much together as possible for the kid.

Thanks guys.

I'll make sure to let you know how it goes. Since there's currently a blizzard in the Boston area he stays put for a couple days.

Mixed bag. My cat died, I had to deal with continued fallout from my grandfather's death, and my place of employment got purchased by a big bank, which means that my armchair quarterbacking the front page could be in jeopardy. Oh, and I have months worth of comics I still need to read.

On the plus side, Tom Spurgeon and I are friends now, my wife got a job, and I made sure my company's Christmas party bar tab hit five figures.

That's a lie. Cilian Murphy is more handsome than me, but I'm pretty sure he's never participated in Secret Santa.
