Interesting article, but more interesting are the responses.

I’ve no doubt that manga as a whole is headed towards a digital
market, and it will eventually make scanlations obsolete (despite
what the guys who cry over Viz’s C&D orders claim). Thing is, I
don’t want to pay one dollar for high-fidelity DIGITAL copies with
quality translations, because it’s just that: a series of zeroes
and ones. Hard drives can burn out. Data can be corrupted. The
license can go under. I’ve got copies of manga from now-defunct
publishers on my shelves (Go! Comi, Broccoli Books, Infinity
Studios), and many copies of those books are still available on the
used market. Will they ever be picked up for another license? Fat
chance. But, they’re still around. With digital copies, once the
license is out, congrats: you can’t get more. Also, I just prefer
reading on paper, but here’s the big thing: that’s just me. So,
yeah, digital is the way of the future, and I applaud the steps
that people are taking in moving towards it. I’m just sad because I
prefer books to data.

When I was in Japan last year I saw an episode of Beelzebub and had NO IDEA what was going on. Looked wild.

Most of the list is a good call, but some I never was a fan of. Also, the order for some past the top ten are arguable. Even the top ten are arguable. Evangelion would never be my first pick. Space Battleship Yamato is #1 in my view. Magical Princess Minky Momo... should be last on that list.
