'Butt-Biting Insect' Kids' Song Gets TV Anime Series

"Oshiri Kajiri Mushi" (Butt-Biting Insect), the hit song that first aired on the children's music television program Minna no Uta in 2007 and eventually sold about 300,000 copies, will be adapted into its first television anime series this fall. The series will run this fall on BS Premium, a premium satellite channel of the Japanese public broadcaster NHK. (Minna no Uta runs on NHK's over-the-air channels.)

Strike Witches Manga Spinoff Posted for Free in English

The latest issue of Kadokawa Shoten's online magazine Kadokawa Niconico Ace includes an English translation of Strike Witches: The Witches of Andorra, a Strike Witches spinoff manga by Takeshi Nogami (Panzer fräulein ALTESEISEN, Sailor-fuku to Jūsensha). Users of the service can view the manga for free viewing after registration.

Claymore Manga Series Ends in Jump Square Magazine

In the June issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine this week, the last panel of Norihiro Yagi's Claymore manga announced that the series has come to an end. The magazine issue does not reveal what Yagi is planning to do next.

Yeah but it's hard for me to not like the rough linework. I bought whole books cause they had a couple of pages of sketches which lead up to the final.

Muv-Luv Alternative: TE Anime Slated for July 1

A Total Eclipse TV Anime stage panel at the Gianism Fes event revealed on Sunday that the Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse anime will premiere on July 1 on TV Tokyo. The anime will take over Aquarion Evol's timeslot after Aquarion Evol ends.
