Shogakukan's Monthly Ikki magazine is announcing that Shunju Aono's Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake (I'll Give It My All... Tomorrow) manga will end in the August issue, which will ship in Japan on Monday. The upcoming issue is also announcing that the comedy series will receive a film adaptation.
The story centers on Shizuo, a hapless 41-year-old father of a 17-year-old girl. Shizuo dreams of being a manga creator while spending his days writing and working at a menial part-time job.
The film distributor Shochiku began streaming a long promotional video for Blood-C: The Last Dark film on Friday. The four-minute video begins with a warning about the "extreme imagery" that may cause "unpleasant feelings" in some audience members.
The Macross 30th anniversary project's website announced on Friday that a special Macross Super Dimension Seminar television program commemorating the anniversary will be broadcast beginning on July 2. The program will feature "Instructor Sheryl" giving lectures on the history of the Macross series, spanning from the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross to the most recent Macross F series. The program will recall select scenes from various Macross series while also teaching viewers about their important points.
The program will begin airing on Mondays from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the Tokyo MX channel beginning on July 2, and will also be broadcast on the BS 11 channel from 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays beginning on July 13.
In time for the OVA's summer theme, new key art and character design has been revealed for Honda co-produced OVA One-Off. Scheduled to be released this year, the two-episode project is directed by Junichi Sato (Prétear, Tamayura: Hitotose), with illustrator Kouhaku Kuroboshi (most well known for the illustrations in the Kino's Journey light novels) providing original character design.
The first episode will debut in August, with the second planned for winter.
As reported in March, the anime follows a second year high school girl who loves her scooter so much that the project is "presented by" Honda complete with product placement of their Giorno bike.
