Australian Hiphop song "Dirty herbs and comic books"

Postby Losty » Sun Dec 30, 2012 8:04 am

Whats up ? My name is Losty.
I've been a comic book fan and collector for around 20 years now, massive Marvel fan.
I'm also a hip hop artist...
This song was shot in Phantom Zone one of Sydney Australia best and longest running comic store chains.
I'm on the 3rd verse and my lyrics are all about Marvel Characters.
Punisher, Thor, Hawkeye, Iron Man + a lot more all get a mention.

Id really like to share this with my fellow comic lovers and get your feedback, normally it would be hip hop forums that we would only post this one but seeing as this is clearly inspired by comic book culture I thought Id post it here. enjoy.

Understand, I was completely ready to tell you sucked, that your rhymes were whack and you flow was shit...

But I can't... because you are actually pretty fucking good. I am a fan...

In terms the rest of the Outhouse will understand, "Truly, you break it down the illest beats!"

Welcome aboard, hope you survive the experience, and hope you stick around.

Pretty nice video. Are you guys on a label or something? I don't know who Indigo Embassy is, but they did an awesome job.

Last guy comes correct. The other two, not so much.

The beat is pretty boring.

Where did the first guy get his Dilla shirt?

Video is fantastic.

Alright, that was pretty great. I didn't know they had rap in Australia. This is the third Australian band I've ever heard of, with AC/DC and Men at Work being the other two. :P

I would have to say, I was expecting this to be shit, and although it's not really my style, you guys did a great job, and I would listen to this again. If I was a teenager, I would probably love this.

Got to say, the first guy (I guess it's his track) was pretty sub par, but the second and third rappers were solid. Losty, I like your flow a lot - please post more if you have anything to hand! Unlike Keb, I liked the beat. It was kind of retro, I guess, but the kind of Hip Hop I was always into. Nice one.

Yeah, the first guy is pretty terrible, but the second guy and you made up for it, Losty. The beat isn't bad, but it really is pretty boring. Overall though, im pretty impressed man. Keep up the good work

Great video production, generic indy rap beat, but i have never been able to take Australian rappers seriously. And I say this as an Australian who likes rap.

So I take it you don't believe that every day Rick Ross is hustling kilo bricks of cocaine from Cuba into Miami personally on his speedboat?
