Oh, my wife is like that.
One of the smartest people I know, but not the best with any kind of spacial relations.
It's worse than just left and right. She constantly screws up things like
in front of / behind
under / over
inside /outside
etc.

It's confounding and fascinating.

I actually have to do that as well. I don't know how I would be able to get through life without knowing the phrase "right hand goes over your heart" during the pledge of allegiance.
