Gautier water isn't so great. Of course, after the hurricane, not many places around here have great stuff on tap.

what's the scoop on neighbors?

I'm always into that aspect.

contary to popular belief, nosy neigbors are good. they watch out for you.

old people can station themselves at a window for hours on end!

It's a nice neighborhood and it seems very quiet. I haven't really seen the neighbors out and about yet.

My house has a natural barrier of trees all around it so it keeps us somewhat secluded which I like.

In this area of NC, there are plenty of people in the counties that live on 'well water'. I've never lived outside a municipality, so I have an aversion to well water and septic tanks, but some people swear by them. I prefer to live with the knowledge that sewage is flowing away from my property, not sitting in a huge underground tank. :P

Paying a mortgage is so much more satisfying than paying rent, especially at tax time. Now you just need a Man-Room.

Of course, since you are single you can argue the whole house is a Man-Room.

I declare a corner of my room as Man-Room. However, the pink Hello Kitty hand towel is really destroying the masculine effect.

My wife once brought a hot glue gun and a sewing machine into the Man-Room :x I had to crank up some Metallica on the stereo and some porn on the big TV to ward away the feminine spirits.

Congratulations!

I'm about to buy one too. I haven't been able to sleep in two months. All this grown up stuff makes me nauseous.
