Being Human S4 *SPOILERS*

Postby Chris » Sat Jan 14, 2012 3:26 pm

So.. last season was pretty badass, but the finale maybe should've been a series finale.

Mitchell was killed, and it seemed like a fitting conclusion to the show. But the appearance of Wyndam seems to have set some new things in motion.

Apparently, Russell Tovey (George) is leaving the show at some point this season. And it seems like we'll be following several new and old characters, rather than it being focused on George, Nina, and Annie.

Toby Whithouse wrote:"As ever, Being Human lives or dies on the strength of the characters and the cast, and that's why I think this series is our strongest yet.
Damien Molony joins the team as Hal. Hand on heart, I think he's one of the most exciting and versatile actors of his generation. Watching his performance grow over the filming was a joy.

Then there's Michael Socha. Promoted from semi-regular to lead. If you thought he was good in series 3, wait till you see what he does in series 4. Michael will break your heart this year.

And of course beautiful Lenora. Our star. The heart of the show. This year she gives a truly breathtaking performance. One of my favourite moments of 2011 was the first full screening of episode 2, when she left us all with our jaws on our chests."

I am looking forward to the new season, but also kind of worried.. especially if George is being written out. This is a small show. I don't know if re-inventing it is a good idea.

Also, episode titles:

“Eve Of The War”
“Being Human 1955”
“The Graveyard Shift”
“A Spectre Calls”
“Hold The Front Page”
“Puppy Love”
“Making History”
“The War Child”

No premiere date given so far, but it will be end of this month.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the show goes on without George and Mitchell but hopefully it won't drop off too much.

Whithouse said he never even thought of ending the show because he still has "1000's of stories to tell"

:?

I dunno, though. I thought the werewolf kid was annoying last season, and this new vampire has literally nothing on his IMDB resume. :smt102

I didn't like the werewolf kid last year either, but that might have just been the situation. Maybe there's room for the character to grow.

Also.. everytime I see him, I just think it's Kelly from Misfits with her head shaved and in drag.

Sinead Keenan has left the show as well, so Nina won't be back at all.

It seemed like it really wandered last season (series? whatever). Annie's and Mitchell's romance never clicked with me, and I think Chris is right about Mitchell's death serving as a decent enough ending. I've got no interest in the show moving forward. Killed what little interest I had in the new season of the American version too.

Hopefully, the Fades will be good tonight.

I cant wait to see where they go from Mitchells death. It was a great end for the character but I wanna see how George deals with killing his best friend.

I have a feeling that we won't actually be seeing much of George at all. As I say, Nina won't be back on screen at all and the stills we've seen show George looking particularly grizzled and desperate. I reckon Russell Tovey will be gone after the first episode in order for us to concentrate on the new dynamic in the house.

I hope not. That dudes great, just as long as his voice doesnt hit that high note. Man he sounds like a pre-pubescent boy when his voice gets so high.

So did I. It was really tense and claustrophobic. Wonder if the American version will ever get round to some of these plots. Season 2 looks like it's going to be quite different from the British season 2.
