The great parts about Cat-Scratch's video posts is when the songs happen to be in sync with the turntable-cat in the signature underneath  XD

When I was a kid I had a lot of great cartoons to watch, and a lot of really lame cartoons. Like way more lame cartoons than not lame ones. Sure nothing may ever top Animaniacs or Batman TAS, but those are outliers to a bunch of other lack luster cartoons that I totally blocked out of memory.

However today when I turn on the tv there is mostly great cartoons on. Adventure Time, Regular Show, Phineas and Ferb (all time great cartoon), Gravity Falls, Avatar and a whole other slew of cartoons that I personally don't care for but can recognize that the production values are better than most of the stuff I got when I was a kid.

Animaniacs---yes, dude. :-D
But that level of genius is hard to touch. Not everyone can be that good, so it makes sense that, when held up to that, far far too many others paled. Sometimes drastically. :D
Though I was really only talking CN and kid's show's as a whole (meaning all that non-cartoon crap, which admittedly has been around for a VERY long time, in some cases) the shows you mentioned do deserve merit---though I've never seen Gravity Falls, so I can't really gauge it. And no, almost none of the shows you mentioned were my "cup of tea" either, but their quality stands alone, regardless of my opinion.
I stand by my initial statement, especially when we're talking about every station that runs "kids shows", in that the quality used to be better than it is now for the overall category, but I see your reasons and I don't disagree about the shows listed. They deserve a good mark, each (more than one, respectively).
A show I hated, but was also of great quality was "Kids Next Door." It was perfect. Just not my thing.

Its all anecdotal, but when I worked at GameStop, kids clamored over ever Adventure Time games like crazy. Also in my current job, I see several kids a day with AD and RS shirts and whatnot

I completely forgot "Gumball." There's a show I don't really like, but it's got merit. I dont know anyone who likes it, child or other, but from what I understand, a lot of kids like it.

How old is your nephew? (not to be creepy, just that I have nephews :) )

Maybe if DC gives up the ghost on Beware, the comic book will continue the original story... or has the comic already been announced as cancelled?

You know, the Smallville Comic is actually pretty good. These comics take off when they no longer are just archive stories for the television series.

Comic might be cancelled by #6 last I heard. The cartoon was contracted to have 26 episodes. Only thirteen have been shown. Plus dammit I want one of those thirteen to be shown dammit! One of them is a Riddler episode.

Did it air on CN?

I think I watched all of the episodes to air on CN and I don't recall that.

No, it's one of the two episodes that were on the DVD/Blu-Ray set released a few weeks ago. It shouldn't be hard to find them on a torrent site.
