Maybe they all left Earth to form the 12 colonies in the first place because it was trashed?

Perhaps a few stayed to keep it going for a while, but eventually died out.

Awesome episode though, Adama's reaction to finding out that Tigh was a Cylon was everything that it should've been and it was good to see Lee finally grow a pair.

Nah, Q and Bendis will leave Marvel in even much worse shape than this.

The episode was a bit of a disappointment to me, really.

Oh god, then don't watch the now rumored THREE HOUR series finale.

The whole series is a disappointment for me.
If it wasn't for the effects and most of the women acting on it, I'd have passed on it.

The whole thing is over angst ridden for me. To forced and to repetitive.
But it does beat the hell out of nothing and a number of other sci-fi shows out there. NOT Dr Who nor Torchwood nor Stargate.

7.8 out of 10

Wonderfully taut, beautifully acted, but a little abbreviated for my tastes. I would've liked some medical tests on Tigh, etc. Things that another 30 or 60 minutes could've fleshed out. The epi felt a little shorthand (if not shortcut) to me.

Couple wishes or predictions for next year...
1) maybe folks on Earth currently live in caves (ala The Matrix). It seems Caves-to-Space is about as far as the pendulum swings and is a reason Kubrick started 2001 the way he did.
2) I'd appreciate it (again ala Matrix, Terminator, etc) if the Centurions consider the skinjobs traitors and war against them & the humans as one. Man vs. Machine seems to be another pendulum swing that sci-fi will always return to. Now that soo many of the human looking Cylons are about Love, Peace & Religion... I don't see free thinking Centurions signing up for all that.

Question: will there be another season in 2009? or just a 3hr finale?

There are 10 episodes to come, then it's all over.

Damn this was good, i wasn;t really feeling the first half with the Adama breakdown and the standoff but as soon as they found Earth and started celebrating it was great. And then that end.... damn it really hit hard.

Also does that explain All Along the Watchtower, that it was the transmission from Earth? That's what i assumed.

My initial reaction was that it was a great episode. A lot of drama and movement. Upon further review, it did seem sort of rushed. A lot of things have been changing really quickly the past few episodes, so much so that I don't think we're getting the full effect of what should be some potentially breathtaking tension.

I'm still enjoying things though.
