It really is. I've always thought Grundy was a really cool character, aesthetically speaking.

He has a lot of interesting aspects, imo. Zombie, swamp, southern, magic... it's rare that I don't like a story with Solomon Grundy.

(LOL, Meltzer's JLA was that rarity. WTF was he thinking making Grundy like the Mr. Fixit/Gray Hulk?)

I think some people feel the need to actually DO something with characters, make them relatable to readers. There are some characters that you just need to let be.

No clue. I guess he already wrote the Grundy Smash version in Green Arrow so maybe he wanted to try something new.
