VIDEO: Cartoon Network 20th Anniversary Tribute Music Video
While it is disappointingly Toonami-free, Cartoon Network watchers should get a heavy hit of nostalgia from a new animated music video commissioned to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the network. It airs at the conclusion of the birthday celebrations, but can already be seen online below.

One of my favorites:

Rocky: (disgusted) "What kind of fun can you have with GIRLS??"
Bullwinkle: (turns to audience in bewilderment) "Jeez, this IS a kids show!"

:-D

Was never a fan of Tom & Jerry, but fyi

PR: Frenemies Tom & Jerry Reignite Their Never-Ending Rivalry for Cartoon Network in New Half-Hour Comedy Series “The Tom and Jerry Show”

One of the world’s most beloved cartoon duos returns to television in The Tom and Jerry Show, a fresh take on the classic frenemies coming soon to Cartoon Network. Comprised of two 11-minute shorts, each episode will feature Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse plotting against each other—with Tom’s determination matched only by Jerry’s own cleverness in evading capture. But this time the cartoon mayhem will not be limited to only Tom and Jerry’s traditional suburban setting. In The Tom and Jerry Show, the title characters’ nonstop game of cat and mouse will expand to also include more fantastic worlds, from a medieval castle to a mad scientist’s lab.

Preserving the look, core characters and sensibility of the original theatrical shorts, The Tom and Jerry Show shines a brightly colored, high-definition lens on a never-ending battle that has set the standard for cartoon rivalries. After all, with a setup as elementary as a determined cat chasing a resourceful and mischievous mouse, the possibilities (and laughs) are endless!

Sam Register (The Looney Tunes Show, MAD, Teen Titans) serves as executive producer on The Tom and Jerry Show. The series is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation in conjunction with producers Darrell Van Citters and Ashley Postlewaite at Renegade Animation.

The Flintstones - Warner Archive Puts Out 4 DVD Titles with Post-Series Primetime Specials
Today, October 9th, the Warner Archive Collection has made available 4 new Flintstones titles as part of their MOD (manufacture on demand) program. These post-series specials and telefilms (which aired after both 1960's The Flintstones AND after 1971's The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show) cover different story topics, which along the way showed Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm growing up further, getting married and starting a family.

The 4 releases available today, described below in material quoted from Warner, can currently be bought only from the online WBshop studio store...which only ships to U.S. customers. However, all of these are expected to also be available shortly from Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program, which ships globally. The price is $14.95 SRP on each of these titles, and packaging can be seen at the bottom!

The Flintstones - Prime-Time Specials Collection, Volume 1
Following a spate of Saturday morning spin-offs, America's favorite Stone Age family returned to network prime-time with a full slate of hysterical pre-historical specials - no quitting time for Fred! In The Flintstones Meet Rockula and Frankenstone, the Flintstones and the Rubbles travel to fear-fraught Rockysylvania thanks to a big game show win. Fred and Barney soon stumble upon - and awaken - the legendary Frankenstone Monster, who promptly revives his vampiric master, Rockula. When Rockula falls head over batwings for Wilma, will Fred end up having an undead-old time? Flintstones Little Big League sees Fred and Barney facing off as opposing Little League coaches while Bamm-Bamm and Pebbles duel across the diamond. Swept up by competitiveness and paternal pride, their friendship ends up in the dug-out doghouse. Meanwhile, a cop, a judge and Mr. Slate are all putting pressure on Fred to win at all costs - what's a cavedad to do?

The Flintstones - Prime-Time Specials Collection, Volume 2
Monsters and mortality, pro sports and home fitness all get a dino-sized twist in this quartet of Flintstone network specials. The Flintstones' New Neighbors: When the gruesome Frankenstone family moves in next door to Fred and Wilma, Fred is furious but Wilma insists they welcome their new neighbors. Can Frank Frankenstone turn Fred's views around? Fred's Final Fling: A mix-up in medical records causes Fred to think that he only has 24-hours to live. Dazed by the news, Fred ponders his end and embarks on a 24 -hour "do-good" blitz. Wind-Up Wilma: After Wilma angrily pitches a melon at two thieves stealing her grocery money, the manager of the Bedrock Dodgers signs her up to pitch in the majors. Jogging Fever : After his wife, his boss and the entire town of Bedrock notice Fred's weight gain, he decides to get in shape by running in the big Rockstone Marathon...and finds out how badly out of shape he really is.

The Flintstones - I Yabba Dabba Do!
Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm are finally getting married...or are they? Thanks to the feuding of Fred and Barney, the Flintstones and the Rubbles may never talk to each other again! Will these star crossed lovers ever tie the knot? Watch your favorite stone age family's movie, I Yabba-Dabba Do and find out!!!

The Flintstones - Hollyrock-A-Bye Baby
The Rubbles and the Flintstones head out west to glamorous Hollyrock to visit Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm after discovering they are going to be grandparents. But Pebbles is busy with her advertising career, while Bamm-Bamm is trying desperately to sell his screenplay, and neither is prepared to deal with an over-extended parental visit. As Wilma and Betty try to take charge of baby prep, Fred and Barney set out to peddle Bamm-Bamm's screenplay, against his express wishes. Hollyrock players (including one voiced by Raquel Welch!), crime bosses and bowling bags add to the confusion before the next generation arrives on the scene.
