Warner Animation Group Announces Pair Of Mystery Projects

Warner Bros announced upcoming release dates in 2017 and 2018 for a pair of “untitled Warners Animation Group projects” which remain mysteries but are speculated to be either “Storks” from Doug Sweetland [who directed the Pixar short “Presto”] and “Smallfoot” [from Sergio Pablos – writer of “Despicable Me”] or possibly a revival of the Looney Tunes franchise or something unknown that is afoot.

The pair of “untitled Warner Animation Group projects” are currently scheduled for release on February 10, 2017 and February 9, 2018.

Nerd Corps and Prof. Stephen Hawking Developing Animated Series

Variety reports that Prof. Stephen Hawking and Nerd Corps Entertainment are developing a new animated series based on the George Greenby series of books written by Hawking and his daughter Lucy Hawking. The series will focus on the title character, an 11-year old boy, and his best friend Annie Bellis and their supercomputer-with-an-attitude Cosmos, as they explore the universe and travel through space and time to learn about science and physics. Nerd Corps is planning 26 half-hour episodes, with additional development for other platforms.

I wish WB would incorporate the 90's addition to their group of characters into more stuff. The Tiny Toons and the Animaniacs specifically.

New 'Flintstones' Movie in the Works at Warner Bros. (Exclusive)

Warner Bros. is hoping to bring The Flintstones back to the big-screen, this time as a full-length animated feature.

Chris Henchy -- who is partners with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay in Gary Sanchez Productions and who also co-wrote the script for Warners' Ferrell-Zack Galifianakis comedy The Campaign -- is penning the script.

Ferrell and McKay will executive produce Flintstones, which is in development stages.

Probably the same issue as when Disney wanted to do a Roger Rabbit TV series, and Amblin didn't want to do it. Thus, Disney created Bonkers.
