I'd rather see something affordable and cover all of the animated series too. In fact, a book covering just the most recent animated series. That was a good show.

Yeah cheaper is better.

I also liked the most recent series... though if they had something like the design sketches for the original toys, that would be cool to see.

SDCC 09: Ken Joins Toy Story
Barbie's beau makes the sequel.
by Christopher Monfette

July 24, 2009 - Pixar announced this afternooon at their Comic-Con panel that not only will the character of Barbie have a much larger role in Toy Story 3, but her long-time boyfriend Ken will join the cast.

Before introducing a short clip entitled "Groovin' with Ken" -- a clip which shows the character as a toy brimming with unfounded vanity -- the voice actor was revaled as Michael Keaton, who worked with Pixar previously on Cars. The rest of the original voice cast are all slated to return.

Check back for more on Toy Story 3 as it develops here at the San Diego Comic-Con.

SDCC 09: Beauty and the Beast 3-D
Classic 2-D animated tales gets 3-D.
by Christopher Monfette

July 24, 2009 - The head of Walt Disney and Pixar, John Lassiter, announced today that the Oscar-nominated tale, Beauty and the Beast, is being given the full 3-D treatment for release next year. The original digital files for the movie were saved and reworked for the production, offering up a brilliant, fully immersive transfer.

In the short clip shown during the panel -- Belle's introductory musical number -- multiple layers of depth were evident and the world was given a substantial sense of size and scale above what fans have originally experienced.

The new version of Beauty and the Beast will debut in theaters on Valentine's Day 2010. Stay tuned to IGN for more as Comic-Con 2009 continues.

Some of the early ones were pretty funny. Haven't really kept up with it. It's one of those that I wouldn't necessarily turn the channel on if it's on.
