So which is dumber?

That college doochebag who thinks that Che is like this idealistic superhero for rich kids who hate thier parents but love their money. Ignoring the fact that cool guy Che did not seem to have a problem with his buddies killing and imprisoning all kinds of people.

or

The ignorant slack-jawed hicks (or proud working class Americans) who think that the Confederate flag is the ultimate sign of their independence even though they live in a northern state and their ancestors were actually shot at and killed by people waving that flag. But hey, the Dukes of Hazzard was chez cool (or wicked in their dialect).

You see a lot of that in the city here. I just think its funny that the urban neo-folk hero for young latino men is an italian guy.

A few years ago, there was a rapper that had Confederate flag clothing on him and his dancers in a video. I can't remember the name, but I thought it was sheer genius. Why not take over that symbol?

And before anyone talks about taking up a symbol of oppression, remember what a cross was actually used for...

Agreed. If we can embrace the n-word, we sure as hell can embrace a flag that symbolizes our self-proclaimed Dirty South. A white guy with a confederate flag doesn't exactly scream 'Rebel'. A black guy with one does, and if there's one thing we like to be, it's rebellious.

Yet Hollywood couldn't find a Cuban actor to play the part.

The cross and the death of Jesus is considered a good, necessary thing.

Good Friday is the death of Jesus.

That really has nothing to do with your point, unless one considers the oppression of blacks a good thing, which i know you don't

Andy Garcia got his revenge when he played an Italian in Godfather III.
