No, this is why...

It isn't how something is being perceived, it is how something IS.

Please consider the following statement. "I understand that you are saying you believe water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen, but Johnny thinks it is made of carbon and lithium. It seems arrogant to consider how you perceive water to be more valid than Johnny's."

If Johnny wants to be called Brenda I will be more than happy to oblige. I think anyone should be able to be called by the name he or she chooses. But words have meanings and there is simply no reason to use them inaccurately and reinforce a falsehood. I'm surprised at you Jude.

But what makes you the arbiter of what someone's feelings should be? What is it that causes people to be attracted to the same sex? Would you also say that the fact that a man has a penis means he should only have sex with a woman who has a vagina?

Who said anything about deciding what a person's feelings should be? I have no problem with the person wanting to be the opposite sex.

Other people implied it was said, so now people assume you said it. The discussion was whether a male was defined by a penis, but they can't argue that, so they make shit up. Just go with it.

I don't see what the big deal is about called her a her. Who cares?

Just be polite and respectful and call a transgender person whatever they want.

She's not even here. And most of the people wanting everyone to be polite and respectful are never either.

If you hired me as your image consultant, I would suggest that you tone down the sulky aspect. I think Thunderstorm works better as a badass outlaw who says unpopular things and doesn't give a damn what people think about it.

I'm just saying she'll probably be happier in prison than dealing with the 'polite' people here.

Are you a doctor? Are you examining transgenders in some private practice? Are you a biologist? Who gives a shit what they want to be called? Just call them what they want?

If she wants to be Chelsea, call her that. If she wants to be a she, just call her that. Who cares if it's "wrong" biologically? Do you walk up to a transgender woman and ask if she's pre or post op?

"Hey you, let me check your junk before I choose a pronoun for you."

Actually pre or post op wouldn't change the conversation much. I call things what they are. I find its helpful to use language that way.

Waitaminte. What's up with Santa now?

Never was a big fan of the big red fascist. Constant surveillance state. Unilaterally deciding who's naughty and who's nice.

Sounds a lot like the Obama administration.

People are either naughty or nice. Santa doesn't make them so.
