Not surprising.

You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

I like eel rolls. Not so much roe, though.

I guess this is on-topic, since I had it at a sushi restaurant, but has anyone ever had raw steak? I've never had steak tartare so I don't know if that's an umbrella term for all raw steak or if its prepared (or un-prepared) a certain way. What I had was thin ribbons of NY strip wrapped around some alfalfa and other crispy greens and drizzled with a soy-based sauce. Outstanding.

Eel slathered with soy sauce is awesome.
Those little orange fish eggs that come with some sushi have almost no flavor as far as I can tell, but they pop in a very pleasant way when you chew on them.

Ceviche is really, really great.
Inb4 some lardass on the board tells us we should eat pizza and meatball subs for every meal.

It's raw seafood soaked in Lime juice which "cooks" it. It's done with some shellfish and lots of white fish, some orange, some spicy shit and onion.
It can be really good or really gross.

I've had steak tartare at a really good steak place and I found it pretty weird. It wasn't the worst thing I ever ate but it looks like cat food and the texture is strange. It's not something I'm going to go out of my way to eat again.

The texture is weird, I kind of like it. Same thing though, I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

I wouldn't have ordered it if I wasn't at Grill 23. I figured any place that charges 40-70 bucks for a steak is probably the best place to try something like that.

Steak tartare is nasty and I say this as a big time carnivore.
