Although I got them all right Heh heh heh.

My parents took the citizenship test a couple of months ago (after 30+ here in the States), and this is basically what the questions were like.

The older I get and more specialized my interests become, the less important American trivia seems. If I need to know something, I just look it up.

My first car was a Mustang. If that is not American, than I don't know what is.

A dirty commie would buy a Mustang to deflect attention.

I got 7 wrong (for a 65%) - I got the Constitution and Declaration years confused, didn't know that the Federal Gov't didn't have to provide education, etc.

80%.

I missed the number of Justices and the Chief Justice. I missed the first line of the Constitution and I thought the Louisiana Purchase question was a trick question for some reason and picked Maine. The lesson as always is that I'm an idiot.

I think my scores are indicative of my experience with civics. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the sheer tonnage of things I don't know.

Not everybody is wanted. Sorry.

Seriously, what stopped you from gaining citizenship?

Huh?

I was being facetious...I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida. ;-)

Plus, even if I WASN'T, with time served in active duty (especially at wartime) I'd be made a citizen easily.
