Ugh I hate the office. I like Parks and Rec now though, since I stopped trying to watch the first season and just started from the third.

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

Second season was good too, but it's kinda weird to watch it without Adam Scott and Sam Seaborn.

second season gets good by the end, it started pretty slowly too I think.
3rd season is where it really kicked off.
Honestly though when the show focuses on Leslie it's usually pretty dull. It shines when it focuses on Ron, Andy or Chris.
Tom is hit or miss for me, but I just find that actor hyper annoying.

Asiz Ansari was the reason I watched the first season. It was awful and I really didn't think I'd come back for more. The second season started really strong for me and I have enjoyed every episode since. I'm not saying it's consistently amazing, but it's never had episodes as bad as a lot of HIMYM, BBT and a lot of other shows. It's probably as good as The Office was in those early years.

I went back to watch season 1, I can't even believe the show was renewed past that, it was terrible.
Brandanowitz was a bad character too, glad he never came back like I heard he was supposed to

Parks & Rec Season 1 is good, but no more than that, it didn't become the show it is until Season 2.
And I like Mark Brendanowicz, they should bring him back eventually.

Nah, he's off being a romantic leading man somewhere. Let him stay there. Adam Scott is a better straight man for the show, since he can also be a massive weirdo.
Season 1 is like Community season 4, it's trading in on the affection we have for the characters for any love you may have for it. Except it's doing it from the past. Which may have been the plot of the first Phonogram. Or maybe not.

You can bring him back as a wrench for when Ann and Chris finally get together

And that convention episode was the best this season imo.
It felt like a fill in writer had come in and worked on the episode. Someone who knew the show and it's characters in passing.
Like I said, the only thing that really redeemed that episode was the end credits scene with the reimagining.
It's easily the weakest episode of the season and I might say possibly of the whole series.

The worst Community ep is either the one where they all jerks to Todd for no reason, or the Ken Burns parody, or the Law and Order parody.

All of those are great episodes Punchy!
Though the Todd one is pretty wonky from a character perspective. These are the people who went way out of their way to help Fat Neil when he was depressed, but now they're these awful bullies

I really didn't like them, you can probably find the arguments about them in this thread!
This week's episode was kind of a spiritual successor to the Todd episode, but for some reason I liked it a lot more. Probably because they actually realised that they were being jerks and did something about it.

Just noticed, most of this thread is me arguing with other people about this show.
I hardly argue about stuff on this site these days, what is it about Community that causes such aggro?

I honestly haven't enjoyed one of the new episodes yet. They've had moments but have not been as good as the worst eps from the first 3 years.
