Word, I getcha. Yeah, I find cosplayers to be weird too, it's just the way Harris went about discussing it that creeps me out.

He did do a follow-up post calling out male cosplayers too, but that's kind of been overlooked.

This whole sexism thing is a smokescreen covering the REAL ISSUES HERE PEOPLE.

I'm not a big fan of fan-art of fan-fic really, it's all just waste of time and potential, where people could be working on their own stuff, rather than just making Iron Man and Captain America make out.

My friend and brother, Tony Harris, wrote a rant the other day...about lame-ass, non-knowledge having cosplay chicks at cons. Not people who are actually members of the comics/sci-fi/fantasy community...the new breed dumbasses who think a convention is Halloween's lovechild with Mardi Gras.

I've heard the same complaints from a lot of you, men and women alike, some of you saying that it's gotten so bad that your last D*C (amongst other cons) will be your last con. So don't act like this is some new thing you're just hearing about, and that you haven't done it your damn selves.

My brother's a hardworking artist and family man, who's gone out of his way to try try and portray women realistically in his work (for the most part, sometimes we do jobs to make enough to eat, no shame in it). I know he took a lot of shit for depicting a female character in a wife beater and no bra after she came out of her _welding leathers_ for fuck's sake. But I've never seen him do the damn contortionist porn cover shit like a lot of folks do...so you can all shut yer gobs about his alleged misogyny and shit.

He called some new breed lames on their bullshit, and they got all butthurt because somebody told them something other than "you are a unique and beautiful snowflake full of awesome wonderfulness and everything you do is specially uniquely wonderful and perfect." Boo-fucking-hoo...life's rough, wear a fucking helmet.
