Last convention I was at, and RU can back me up on this since he was with me there was a lot of families who got a big kick out of taking pictures of or with Cosplayers who really were very fun people. I understand you thinking people want to show off but it is also to be a part of the event and to interact with fans. Yes, there are those who make take it too far or trying to see how far of the boundaries can be stretched which can put a sour mark on Cosplayers in general but how has a cosplayer hurt you?
