Indeed. Not only are the costume-makers in Japan talented, there are stores there that cater specifically to cosplayers.

I think it's pretty cool actually, they are having fun, leave them alone . But at the same time, if you weigh 400lbs that Captain America outfit is just gonna get you laughed at.
I have seen some amazing costumes though, and an ex of mine won 200 bucks dressing up as Catwoman. That was fun.

One of my friends is planning on going as Manhattan on Halloween but with the suit.

As for the topic, I think it's awesome when people dress up for cosplay. Those are usually one of the high lights of going to the cons.
