Given that, in the Bendis answer, there was no correction to say it wasn't an Avengers book, I'm thinking the writer counts it as an Avengers book.

I mean, Avengers: The Initiative is an Avengers book in name only. The camp isn't run by active Avengers, they train recruits to be members of non-Avengers teams, etc. But it's still considered related enough to be titled and lumped in that group.

People get way too bent out of shape all because of the titles. As long as they're different enough, I couldn't care less if the book has "Avengers" on the title. Who cares?

The same amount of books are going to be published regardless. And you don't have to buy them. So who cares?
