Hello all!

My fiancée has been reading Azzerllo's Wonder Woman run since the relaunch and has been loving it. She asked me today about older WW stories/trades and I drew a blank....(i'm not a big WW fan).

Can you guys recommend some stuff?

The original George Perez run is a decent read.

And I'm especially partial to the Rucka-era of Wonder Woman.

I'm sure someone else could give you more specific runs.

The Hiketeia GN by Rucka & JG Jones

The Perez run

Rucka's Bronze Doors arc

And I'm really fond of Gods of Gotham, a 4-parter teaming up the Bat- and Wonder-"families" against Joker and the children of Ares, co-written by DeMatteis & Jiminez, with art by Jiminez.

I'll see the ones mentioned and add...

Alex Ross's Spirit of Truth
JLA: A League of One

Perez's run was good (but I actually liked the Messner Loebs era better) (and Byrne's run was great fun too).

I would add that the Hiketeia is head and shoulders above the rest, almost a perfect Wonder Woman story.

Azzarello's Wonder Woman is the only good Wonder Woman.

i also liked a lot of the Simone stuff, particularly the whole Rise of the Olympian mega-arc, but i would in no way suggest that's a "definitive" story, and really requires a lot of supplemental reading from before that arc and other books outside that arc. so it's avoidable.

and i really liked the JMS 14-part Odyssey arc...once JMS left it.

I really enjoyed Rucka's Wonder Woman. I liked his introduction of a female Lex Luthor for Diana in Veronica Cale.

I'll add my praise to Rucka's run and the Hiketeia.

The cartoon movie was pretty great too.

WTF is this rank?

Hiketia is comic gold.

I loved George Perez's, John Byrne's and Greg Rucka's runs on the book.

For me, my difinititve Wonder Woman stories are from the cartoons Justice League and JLU.
JL episode arcs
Paradise Lost
the Savage Time (her stuff is mostly in episodes 2 & 3)
Maid of Honor
JLU Episodes
Once and Future Thing
This Little Piggy
Hawk and Dove (though not the best ep)
THe Balance
To Another Shore

Episode For The Man Who Has Everything has good Wonder Woman moments, but is mostly about Superman
