That's a huge savings, considering what the individual seasons cost. Tennant is easily the most popular of the modern Doctors.

Tennant was my favorite Doctor for a long time. But Smith has surpassed him for me.

I have the Smith seasons on blu-ray, going to start watching them soon and I've head good things about Tennant so it was hard to pass up.

I started with Smith, but enjoyed Tennant too.

The producers took some risks with Christopher Eccleston, trying to change the Doctor's personality a bit, too much for many fans, but Tennant was a move towards back towards a lot of fans' comfort zones. He was also quite young for a doctor, and when he was done there was some talk of getting an older actor, but they went in the opposite direction altogether and hired someone even younger.

I love Smith, but Tennant is and always will be MY Doctor.

Damn. I just was delivered the box set and I ordered it this morning. There are some advantages having an Amazon distribution center in my city.

I am not overly fond of Smith. I just prefer Tennant.

I started watching the most recent Doctor, Smith, then went back to the beginning. I've just got back to Smith. Tennant really won me over, but watching Smith's incarnation tell Amy he was a madman with a box was great and reminded me of why I like him. But when it comes right down to it, I take each as they come. I don't really have a favorite.

BTW, with this season and the next Smith will hold the record for playing the doctor longest amongst the new ones, and he'll be playing next year, during the show's 50th anniversary.

Yep, it was Amazon's deal of the day.

Has anyone watched the Sarah Jane Adventures? We got the first disc from Netflix but haven't watched it yet.

Yes. It's a good show for kids since none of the villains are even remotely scary. However as a Doctor Who fan I found them lacking.

I've seen all the Doctor cross-overs in SJA which are fun and from that a few episodes here or there, but yeah, this really is for kids.

A question for those who've been watching the series longer than I have. Is there a DVD set that includes a sampling of each of the former Doctors (the first eight)?
